This event has come to an end.
Thank you for your participation!

What is this?
This is a tabletop Game Jam hosted as a celebration, as Jan 5th marks the fifth anniversary of our community, Game Design Guild!📅 You have until the very last minute of Feb 5th (GMT-0) to present a feature-complete, hopefully playable prototype or fully fledged traditional game (RPG, Boardgame, Card Game, Wargame, etc). It's not necessary to submit something that's completely done, but submitting something that's playable is much appreciated.⚠️ For this event, you may choose to either create a game from scratch or finish a project as your submission, as both align with the community's principles and the event's spirit of actually getting shit done.

Will there be a winner?
The final submissions will be voted on through a standalone form, divided into three main categories that will have its own winner + a runner-up.🔥 Innovation: Originality behind new ideas and creative approaches of well established concepts.⚙️ Mechanics: Mechanical polish and how the rules and dynamics of the game themselves create a fun experience at the table.📖 Theme: Narrative and thematic concepts beyond the purely functional aspects of the game, as well as the visual presentation of the game itself.Additionally, people will be able to nominate an entry as the 🌟 Best Game overall, which will receive its own separate award.Note: It is possible for more than one game to be a category winner or runner-up, if multiple submissions are tied in votes.
Okay but what will I win tho
A symbolic award recognizing your game for being a Category Winner or Runner-Up. Bragging rights, a fun time, the appreciation of your peers, and a cool PNG.

Theme and Restrictions
As it was the case with all three previous Anniversary Jams, there is no theme for what to create, and no restrictions to follow. Go nuts, seriously. That said, you can always use the 24 Hour RPG theme generator to come up with something, if you need the inspiration or the extra challenge.

Teamwork!
Not that it was ever against the rules, but I'll point out that you may choose to work alongside other guildmates on a group submission, and all members of a group will share any awards won by the game.

I want to participate!
To submit a game, you must fill the following template and either post it on Discord or on one of the Homebrew Threads on /tg/:
Game Name: The title of your entry.
Genre: RPG, Boardgame, Card Game, etc.
Author: Your name, nickname, pen name, or whatever you'd like to use to attribute the game to you.
Overview: A brief description of your entry. You can include your random themes here, if you used them!
Link: A working link to read and download your entry, which can be hosted on google drive, itch.io, dropbox, or whatever site you prefer.
Optionally, you may also attach a cover image to be displayed alongside your submission. All games will be displayed on this page as they are submitted, following this template.

Entries
This page features the submissions of all participants, a total of 18 games this year!
Unnamed Mech Fighting Prototype
A Board game? by No One
Quick 1v1 mech fighting game prototype. (may or may not be a mechanics test for a more expansive future project)
Heavy is the Head: Remedieval Warfare
A Formation-based "Traditional" Wargame by Fiver
A mass battle wargame that tasks would-be generals with preplanning their turn and then contending with semirandom initiative. Formations push each-other around and your mooks can lose faith in you or even abandon the field if you plan poorly.
Necropolis: Planet of the Dead
A Wargame by Cryptix
A pitched battle scale wargame set in the far future, where the soul of Earth died in the Cataclysm and from its grave rose Reapers, powerful necromancers who took possession of the souls of humanity and waged endless wars. In this post-apocalyptic world of rot and slow decay, life is cheap and death is meaningless.

Propaganda
This year, one contestant took the event for an unexpected turn that ended up dragging everyone else along for a wild ride of last-minute creativity.Met with the realization that other people had to vote for their games in order to actually win anything, the community turned to the best way to semi-peacefully coerce people into voting for them: propaganda.
